KINDESS OPPORTUNITIES

Open door with colorful paint splashes around it and words 'Kindness Opportunities' next to it, symbolizing opening to kindness.

Creating meaningful opportunities for adults with disabilities to live full, connected lives.

We connect individuals with neurodiversity and developmental disabilities to real-world experiences, community engagement, and hands-on opportunities that build purpose and belonging.

WHO WE ARE

Hello!

We’re Amanda and Rich, and Kindness Opportunities started with our sons, Chance and Jack. Like so many families, we began asking ourselves what life would look like after school—and quickly realized how limited the options were. We wanted more for them: more connection, more purpose, and more opportunities to be part of their community. What started as something for our own families has grown into something we hope can support many others.

WHAT WE DO

We are building a community to help individuals with neurodiversity and developmental disabilities build active, meaningful lives through a variety of hands-on opportunities.

Hands-On Work Experience

Volunteer Opportunities

A young man in a gray t-shirt and white shorts paints a white wall with a small paintbrush while two women, one in a pink shirt and the other with glasses, observe and smile. They are outdoors near a house with a black roof, a chain-link fence, and a large green tree in the background.
People sitting around a wooden table playing bingo, with bingo cards and markers, in a communal room.

Community Engagement

WHY IT MATTERS

We’ve seen how quickly opportunities can narrow after high school for individuals with disabilities. Without intentional support, days can become isolated and routines can feel disconnected from purpose. We believe everyone deserves to be seen, included, and valued—and that meaningful experiences shouldn’t be out of reach.

A man wearing a straw hat, hoodie with a Superman logo, and shorts is pouring cornmeal from a metal scoop into a gray trash can with a blue and yellow sticker, in a rustic room with an open window and hanging plastic bottles.

BUILDING FUTURES

We are continuing to grow opportunities that support both life skills and meaningful work experiences.

  • Expanding partnerships with local businesses

  • Developing hands-on seasonal projects like community gardens

  • Exploring future community-based business ideas such as a coffee shop model that provides inclusive employment opportunities

  • Supporting wellness and community participation activities like swimming, gym visits, and local events

GET INVOLVED

Whether you’re a family, a local business, or someone who wants to get involved—we’d love to connect.
